INTRODUCTION

Dartmouth Caring

Dartmouth Caring is a community, volunteer led organisation which looks after the residents of Dartmouth and the South Hams surrounding villages with care in all varieties.

Dartmouth Caring is a community organisation offering a wide range of clubs, activities, and support services to enhance the well-being of members. From the Memory Café and Lunch Club to the Visually Impaired Reading Group and Bereavement Group, they provide social and emotional support for various needs.

Dartmouth Caring wanted to increase awareness of their volunteer run clubs for residents in Dartmouth. As a Devon-based freelance digital marketing specialist and as this was also my hometown from age 7, I aim to help Dartmouth Caring promote these clubs and services through effective online strategies.

By creating engaging content, utilising social media platforms, and optimising their website, I aim to raise awareness of these clubs and attract more participants. Furthermore, I am working on increasing the visibility of their vital services such as benefit and housing advice, patient transport, and counselling, ensuring that those in need can easily access these resources. Together, we can make a positive impact on the Dartmouth community.

I occasionally helped film various Sandy Park events or match days in the absence of the videographer, which I really enjoyed getting the opportunity to do.

I also filmed these videos although the editing was done by the very talented full-time videographer, Ben Marshall:

Website Management

Exeter Chiefs and Sandy Park had four websites that I was responsible for looking after the maintenance and content of:

  • Exeter Chiefs Official

  • Sandy Park

  • Club Shop

  • Exeter Chiefs Foundation

I worked alongside the existing website design agency to redevelop the websites and make them more functional, minimalist and simplistic. In addition, I helped improve the digital processes and tracking of customers when they were purchasing match day, events, concerts or Exeter Chiefs Club Shop merchandise.
